Hi everyone,
The Hot Chocolate Run is December 5! As many of you know, this event is a
huge part of my job at Safe Passage; I've been working on it nonstop for the
past few months. Safe Passage helps women and children who have
experienced domestic violence and the Hot Chocolate Run is our largest
fundraising effort. This year, we’re
expecting over 3500 participants; they’ll walk two miles or run a 5K before
enjoying a mug of hot chocolate.
I've worked on this event every year since 2004, when a Safe Passage board
member decided to create a 5K event as a small fundraiser for us. The
event has gotten bigger and better every year since then, and has now become
one of the most popular events in Western Massachusetts. I'm really proud
of this event and it's one of the best things about my job--I get to work with
a group of amazing volunteers who help make the event really fun and
successful. It’s gotten to the point
where when people ask me where I work, I say “Safe Passage…you know, the Hot
Chocolate Run?”
I hope you'll consider making a donation in support of this event and help me
meet my fundraising goal! I'll be too busy on December 5 to run or walk--I'll have a full day of working to make sure everyone has a great time--but I'd love your support anyway!
All money raised goes to support Safe Passage’s services for women and
children who have experienced domestic violence, and all contributions are tax
deductible.
You can also set up a fundraising
page if you participate in the event. To

Thank you so much for your support!

Safe Passage is the organization in Hampshire County building safety, hope and justice for families who have lived with domestic violence. Adults and kids come to Safe Passage for a variety of programs: an emergency shelter, counseling and support groups, legal advocacy, and so much more. We also work to prevent domestic violence before it happens through our community engagement programs. We hope you'll join us in our work by making a donation! Learn more at our
