Thanks for visiting my Hungry Lion Bike Tour fundraising page. On September 30 I will be riding my bicycle in the Green Mountains and Berkshires. While doing something that I enjoy immensely, I will also be helping the Whitingham-Halifax Lions serve our community in a significant way.
The primary purpose of this event is to fight hunger. It affects 1 in 7 (especially youngsters), and is a mostly hidden problem.
Every December the Lions team up with the local Rotary Club to hand deliver and fill the cupboards for hundreds of people in the Deerfield Valley of Southern Vermont with nutritious food staples. We see the positive impact first hand - locally, where we have proven we CAN make a difference.
For the last three years HLBT has also generated enough funds to write generous checks to the local food bank as well.
Your contribution can make a difference! Thanks so much for your support. I appreciate it and so do a large number of folks in Vermont!
