My daughter Elizabeth was diagnosed with Epilepsy when she was 12 years old. She is now 23 and after 10 different medications, multiple hospital visits and two surgeries she continues this gallant battle. She currently is one of the 30% of individuals with a seizure disorder that has not been able to get their seizures under control with medication or medical devices.
The Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia is a great organization that helps raise awareness of Epilepsy and provides tremendous resources for those individuals with this condition. Please support their efforts through participating in the Tour de Midnight or making a donation to EFVA through Team Elizabeth/Support RVA.
Elizabeth has received tremendous love and support from amazing doctor’s, nurses, friends, family and the community. She would like to help others battling this condition. This is Elizabeth’s way of giving back and helping others. Please help if you can.
