My daughter Nicole has onset epilepsy that started 1 August 2011. Her first event occurred occurred at the start of her third year of college. She has been to some of the best Neuorologist along the east coast but still has no cure or control of her epileptic activity. She is always taking precautions such as regular sleep, meditation to reduce stress and taking her meds - regularly. Nicole stil has daily seizure activity even though she is taking five different seizure medications. I wish to support this event because it is the EFVA's mission to dispel the many myths surrounding epilepsy and because they continue to support those in need within the state of Virginia. They provide many services that people and loved ones with epilepsy need. Please help them advocate for the 80,000 persons with epilepsy in Virginia. Your donation will make a difference!
