As a psychologist and cyclist in NYC, I'm excited to put together a team of great cyclists for the 2020 Ride for Mental Health. The ride is based in beautiful, hilly New Paltz, less than 2 hours north of NYC. It is a two-day event but our team will be riding on Saturday, June 27th. I hope you will join me by both riding and raising funds together.
Your support will help raise awareness of mental health issues and end the stigma that keeps people from getting help. Because it is a part of overall health, we've all been affected by mental health issues, both in our own lives and the lives of people we are closest to. Funds will directly support McLean Hospital's psychiatric program which offers intensive interventions when people are faced with critical need. In addition, riding for the cause makes visible the need to attune to the psychological aspects of everyday life.
We can go further when we go together.
You can sign up to ride here and when asked if you will ride with a team, select NYC Depth Psychology:

The Ride for Mental Health 2020
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
Eric's Ride Inc. is a New York not for profit corporation with 501(c)(3) status. 100% of rider pledges will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.
