Many of you know my love of running, especially my addiction to the trail and running miles and miles! I've been training, gradually building up my endurance and set a goal of running my favorite race of all time this year, the Vermont 100 Endurance Race. This race is very special to me because I've ridden the 50 mile distance on horseback as my first Endurance Ride ever! I love that this race includes both horses and people and have always wanted to run this race on foot too!
I am so grateful for my ability to run and the ability to help horses physically as a farrier. There are people out there who struggle just getting out to walk. People who need a little extra assistance to meet the challenge that brings health, fun and passion to their lives. I am passionate about raising funds for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports because they provide sports and recreational programs as well as wellness and environmental retreats to people with disabilities. Their programs are offered to people of all ages, with a variety of disabilities. Programs include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and Nordic in the winter; and sailing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, cycling, rock climbing, horseback riding, and more in the warmer months.
Please consider donating what you can to help me reach my goal of $1500 by July 20th and help Vermont Adaptive meet their goal too!
Thank you!
