As many of you know, in January 2019 my wife dropped off our daighter at Skyland Trail in Atlanta for residential treatment for Boarderline Personality Disorder. Prior to and even after being admitted, she was batteling depression, anxiety, ADHD, and BPD. The biggest and scariest manifestation of her disease is Self-Harm. Skyland Trail saved our daughters life.
Now more than a year later, Taylor is living on her own, completiing her college degree, working part time, and caring for two incredible kittens. The recovery has been remarkable and inspiring. When I learned of The Ride for Mental Health, I knew I had to get involved. You see, there are simply too few facilities like Skyland and McLean Hosiptal. Access to mental health services is limited or too expensinve for many, we need significantly more research into mental health and adiction, and the Stigma surround mental health is proven to keep people from seeking the help they need and suppporting those in need.
So this year, alomg with my Bo's Tire Barn Pelotonia team mates, I will be riding 200 miles in The Ride for Mental Health to raise much needed money, raise awareness, and #rideawaythestigma

The Ride for Mental Health 2020
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
Eric's Ride Inc. is a New York not for profit corporation with 501(c)(3) status. 100% of rider pledges will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.
