My sweet sister Madison "Maddie" and her twin sister Ashton were both diagnosed with Epilepsy in their early teens. Epilepsy is a horrible disease that can affect those who suffer at any given time. People suffering from Epilepsy have to worry about their driving, sleeping, showering, etc. Any moment could suddenly become life threatening.
On May 11 2019 we unexpectedly lost my sweet sister Maddie to an epileptic seizure in her sleep. Maddie was less than a week from her 23rd birthday. I was fortunate enough to have a phone call with her the day before she passed. We were trying to line up lunch plans; but unfortunately our schedules that day didn't work out. I still remember the last thing she said to me "Let me know if there's anything you need help with". That was Maddie, a sincerely nice person always trying to help people out. Her attitude was awesome and she had a way of connecting with anyone. I miss her every day.
