I wanted to add my own personal message to this as it's the first time I've ever done something like this. At the begining of this year I set a theme for the year but really it's something I want to live by for the rest of my life. That theme is to "Live Intentionally". I've never been on any sports team or competed. I was really never into that sort of a thing. Just prior to and especially durring my 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I developed a love for cycling. I came home and things got set on the back burner one of the biggest being my own personal health. My included pic shows me at about my heaviest weight of my adult life and last pic is one from one of my most recent bike rides back down almost to my goal. Riding my bike has played such a huge role in helping me regain my health and my life. I entered this race for two reasons. One, it's for a good cause and I'm all about helping others. Two, it allows me to live intentionally and do something I never thought I would to enter a race and regardless of how I place to cross the finish line knowing I did someting great for my personal development and helped others along the way. I know that health not just physical but emotional and mental as well is vital to finding real joy and happiness and I know it's possible. If you can I encourage you to donate somethinug to helping support and give that blessing of health and hope to others in need.

El Tour de Tucson is a 501(c)3 non-profit that rides to support charities, community, health and wellness. We create a Life Changing Experience for all of Life's Cycles.

Diamond Children's Medical Center is committed to serving the children of Southern Arizona. All too often, families of critically ill children have to travel from place to place or even across the country to get the specialized care their children need. Our medical community has come together to focus and expand health care for kids in one place in Tucson – Diamond Children's Medical Center. We offer a bright, healing environment where children feel safe while receiving the advanced care they need from the pediatric specialty physicians and researchers of the University of Arizona Steele Children's Research Center, as well as community pediatric physicians.
