Blackstone Bicycle Works and West Town Bikes continue to be the beneficiaries of Afterglow because no one does local youth cycling programs better.
Afterglow - A Virtual Fundraiser
In the 11th year of Afterglow, Chicago Cuttin' Crew is coming together virtually! Fire up your Zoom team calls, hop on the group text, and get your socials to donate!
Blackstone Bicycle Works and West Town Bikes continue to be our beneficiaries because no one does local youth cycling programs better. Consider donating a couple more bucks to support the programming and young people who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic.
The individual and team who raise the most money will win some Donkey Label gear, vintage Cuttin Crew swag, and the prize for being the most generous!
Blackstone Bicycle Works is a community bike shop and youth education program of the Experimental Station. The mission of Blackstone is to provide educational and vocational opportunities to youth from some of Chicago's most underserved neighborhoods. Blackstone is structured as a retail, full-service bike shop that offers "earn and learn," hands-on bicycle mechanics curriculum to its participants. The Blackstone Youth Racing Club participates in the Chicago Cross Cup, and our support empowers young people to race with their hearts each fall.
West Town Bikes is a community bike shop and youth education program in Humboldt Park/West Town. The mission of West Town Bikes is to empower youth of all abilities and circumstances to build stronger, healthier communities. Respecting their diversity in culture, identity, and opinion, West Town Bikes develops creativity, self-sufficiency and economic opportunity through hands-on education and business development.
