As a husband to a great strong wife that battles each and every day with anxiety and depression it is very heartbreaking to see someone you love go through such hard times and nothing you can do. My wife has always been there for me before during and after my horrific accident. She was there for me for the 5 days I was in the hospital after my spinal surgery. Without her I would not be where I'm at today. I can say I owe my life to her. I can never say I know what my wife goes through but I see the rapid changes in her moods and it breaks my heart when I see her crying out of frustration and there is nothing I can do to make her feel better or clear her tears. Riding my bicycle and raising money for mental health means the world to me because I know 1 out of 5 people suffer from mental health. Mental health not only effects the person that has it but also family members. Thank you very much for your donation
The Ride for Mental Health 2021
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
Eric's Ride Inc. is a New York not for profit corporation with 501(c)(3) status. 100% of rider pledges will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.
