Welcome to my fundraising page for the 11th annual Will Bike 4 Food! This annual cycling event raises much needed funds and awareness for The Food Bank of Western Massaschuestts.
This is the 5th year that I am participating in Will Bike 4 Food. The first year I rode in memory of my father-in-law, Bill Compton, an avid recreational cyclist who volunteered for many organizations that helped those in need. I continue to ride in his memory and because no one should worry about having enough food to eat or be hungry or be forced to choose between food and other basic needs. I have been there - as many of us have have - and it is not easy.
This past year+ has been so very hard for so many of us for a multitude of reasons and the need in our Western Mass communities is greater than ever. This year I am challenging myself to complete the 100 mile ride - a distance I have not ever cycled, yet. I am riding to show my support for the work of The Food Bank of Western Mass and for those in our communities that are in need. Every $1 raised provides 4 meails for a person in need. Doations of any amount are greatly appreciated (and all donations are tax deductible.) Thank you for supporting my ride and the Food Bank. For more information about their work go to https://www.foodbankwma.org/ Taking action for change. One mile at a time.
Keep safe and thank you.

Since 1982, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has been feeding our neighbors in need and leading the community to end hunger. We distribute food to our member agencies in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties. These independent pantries, meal sites and shelters are on the front lines of emergency food assistance in our region, playing a crucial role helping individuals, families, seniors and children. Every $1 donated to The Food Bank can purchase 4 meals for a family who needs them most.
