On June 5, 2021 I will have the honor to bike 50 miles in the Veteran’s Count Ride for our brave service women and men who defend our freedom.
Most of you know how much veterans mean to me and why. I’m asking you for donations for this cause.
In case you aren’t familiar with Veterans Count it is a charitable part of Easterseals Military and Veterans services providing veterans and their families financial assistance and services when there are no other resources available.
Veterans Count events has given assistance to more than 18,000 service members with employment, homelessness and housing, substance misuse treatment, mental health issues resulting from post-traumatic stress and/or traumatic brain injury, and family resources, as well as financial assistance with housing, transportation, fuel, utilities, food, legal documents, and more.
From the Veterans Count events net proceeds, 100% of each dollar goes to help service members, veterans, and their families. All contributions are tax deductible.
In 2010 when I ran my first foot race for Run to Home Base I had no idea how much these programs would mean to me. I now have the honor of biking in an event for the same honor which brings me to my request; I’m asking you to please help sponsor me. I’m not asking for large sums of money. That isn’t logical in these times. If people donate small amounts; i.e. $5 or $10 or even less, I know I can reach my goal.

Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Carrie
