My journey with ALS started long before my diagnosis, which was in September of 2018. It is a rough journey. The Susan Mast ALS Foundation provides much needed financial and emotional support for both the ALS patient and for their caregivers/families. Most people that are diagnosed with ALS don't have the resources to handle the huge expenses that are part of the disease. All of us, especially in the early stages, don't have a clue as to how to deal with, how to cope with and what our next steps should be. Susan Mast Foundation is a significant help with all of that.

Join us for our 3rd Annual PedALS event! This year the event will be all weekend long!
The Bike Ride is on Saturday, Sept. 25th at the home of Phil Vanderlugt, 5630 Treebrook Dr NE Ada, MI 49301.
The 1 Mile Walk & 5K will take place on Sunday, Sept. 26th at Dwight Lydell Park, 4040 Leyland Ave. NE Comstock Park, MI 49321.
Your support not only raises awareness, but also provides ALS families with respite care, medical equipment, meals & deliveries, psychological and speech support, and many other services!

We are here because every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes someone dies from ALS.

The vision of the Susan Mast ALS Foundation is to build a strong foundation to ensure all ALS patients and families have the much needed support, guidance and resources available to them today and years to come. We strive to strengthen and build our relationships with community partners so we can continue our mission of providing excellent support to ALS patients, families and caregivers in all of West Michigan.
