I've been riding bikes ever since I can remember--riding around the PNW in the summer time growing up (even riding from Bellevue to Seattle on a mountain bike--yikes!), commuting to classes at NYU on the rugged streets of New York and Shanghai, commuting to my internship in DC (during their lovely torrential downpours), and even doing a 4 day road trip with my friend from New York to Pittsburgh (when I first discovered Pennsylvania sure does have a mountain range!). I love the community of cyclists--folks who are humble, encouraging, and welcoming; I love the feeling of the road zipping away under me; and I love the opportunities I get to push myself on the road to become a stronger, faster, better, cyclist.
I spent most of 2021 riding 30 miles at a time to train for an Olympic triathlon, but I've decided 2022 is the year of longer harder rides and maybe even some bikepacking trips!
To that end, I'm starting off 2022 by riding my first century bike ride at the Tour de Palm Springs on February 12th. This event supports first responders as well as many non-profits in the Coachella Valley. Your support will help me reach my fundraising goal--no donation is too small! A full list of affiliated charities can be found here: https://tourdepalmsprings.com/charities/past-charities/. Every dollar earned will be donated back to participating non-profits in the Coachella Valley.
