This winter I am hoping to raise funds to support the Catamount Trail Association (CTA) and its Chapters. The CTA does a lot of important work including the development and maintenance of public ski trails and backcounty zones, protecting our mountain lands for all to use, and working to increase access to the outdoors through free tours, low cost events, and free youth learn-to-ski programming.
Please consider making a contribution to help me reach my goal. Any amount will make a difference.
Thank you for your generosity!
2022 CATGUT
The CATGUT (Catamount Grand Ultimate Tour) is a skate or classic ski touring experience for all ages and abilities, and it's an opportunity to give back to the backcountry community and support the CTA and our chapters. The CTA has spent the last 37 years facilitating life-changing winter experiences, and working to protect and expand access to Vermont's mountain lands. This work enhances everyone's quality of life, and is one of the many reasons Vermont is such a wonderful place to spend time whether you call it home, or are just visiting.
The Catamount Trail Association is a member and donor supported organization, and 100% of the funds raised through this event will go to support the CTA's work caring for the world's longest backcountry ski trail, development and maintenance of our chapter-managed backcountry zones, and will help us continue expanding our youth programing which is slated to serve over 1000 young skiers (many first-timers) this season.
The Catamount Trail is a 300 mile long backcountry ski trail that runs the entire length of Vermont from Massachusetts all the way to Canada. It’s totally free to use and is one of Vermont’s most unique recreational assets. From easy cruising through the woods to exhilarating descents in waist deep powder, there’s something for everyone on the Catamount Trail.
In addition to managing the trail corridor, the Catamount Trail Association also organizes a large selection of backcountry tours, is involved in the conservation and protection of Vermont's mountain lands, and runs a number of youth programs serving well over 1000 kids each season. We want people to embrace winter and all of the great experiences it provides. So, whether you’re just learning how to ski or have been shredding the gnar for years we can help you have more fun!
