Dear Friends and Family Members,
I am training and fundraising for the 2022 Tour de Barnstable cycling event to benefit Calmer Choice!
Calmer Choice is a Cape Cod-based organization that uses a mindfulness-based prevention curriculum to teach young people how to effectively and safely manage stress, support resilience and resolve conflict. Their goal is to provide skills that will dimish the risk of violence, substance abuse and other self-destuctive behaviors - promoting happy, health and successful lives. There are over 40,000 people who have benefitted from Calmer Choice programs since they began 12 years ago and the curriculum is proven effective by researchers from Harvard School of Education, Yale, MIT and Tufts.

The Important WHY:
Calmer Choice needs your help to deliver our mindfulness based prevention programs that support the mental health and well-being of students, teachers and people of all ages in our community.
Calmer Choice serves children and those who support them on Cape Cod and surrounding regions by providing evidence-based mindfulness education, training, and mentorship to build resilience, foster compassion, and nurture the wellbeing of all people and communities. Utilizing our innovative, research-informed curriculum, we work in classrooms and community spaces to support individuals in reconnecting with the inner capacities they need to feel grounded, resourced, and capable of leading lives of kindness and compassion towards themselves and others.
