Welcome to our fundraising page!
Ian and I will both be walking this year.
We are grateful for any amount you can give to help me raise funds so people stay housed and warm this winter.
Thank you so much for your support.
- Hundreds of low-income families, including many children in the region, confront the depletion of their deliverable fuel supply or the discontinuation of their electric or gas service every year - WAIM is there to assist.
- Energy crises are one of the contributing factors of homelessness in our area.
- Families who lose electric, gas, or oil service are also in danger of losing custody of their children.
- Funds donated to the WAIM Private Energy Assistance program go directly to helping WAIM’s clients with emergency needs. Most of these funds are raised during the annual Walk for Warmth
- YOU CAN HELP us to ensure that our neighbors are able to live in heated homes with warm showers and hot meals throughout the coldest season of the year.

Walk for Warmth 30th Anniversary
The Windham Area Interfaith Ministry provides a community safety-net to our low or no-income community members so that they may stay safely housed, meet basic material needs, and connect to resources that improve stability.
The Walk for Warmth is our annual fundraiser to support our energy and housing assistance funds, and this is our 30th Anniversary! Each year, we help more than 200 individuals and families keep a roof over their heads, their lights on and their living space warm. We couldn't do any of it without the support of our supporters.
Our goal this year is $40,000. We hope you will do whatever you can to help us achieve it. Thank you.
Walk for Warmth is an annual charity event sponsored by the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry to raise funds for the Energy and Housing Assistance Programs. This year will mark our 30th Anniversary of raising funds from our community to help meet our neighbors' needs when they are struggling.
Many low-income families are spending more than 10% of their household income to heat their home in addition to rent and other utilities. On top of that, heating costs are predicted to increase up to 30% this year as we are facing difficult economic times, rents are skyrocketing and many families are still catching up from loss of income during COVID. Your gift will help us keep our neighbors safely housed and warm.
Last year, over 200 families were helped. We anticipate that the need will be even greater this year.
Thank you very much for your support!
