Dear friends and family,
I'm looking forward to participating in The Ride for Mental Health again this June.
With temps in the upper 80s last year, it was challenging. But I'm hopeful that I can still ride 100 hilly miles. Fingers crossed!
The Ride for Mental Health takes place in the New Paltz area, up in the beautiful Shawangunk mountains. The bike ride is held as a fundraiser, with all the proceeds donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness. You can read more about the cause here https://www.rideformentalhealth.org/thecause.
The Ride enables me to spend time with like minded friends and get my 'free group therapy' doing something that I love. Many people do not have that luxury in their lives today. I believe we can all do our part to make their lives better. Please join me in that effort.
Participating in this ride and donating, helps combat the multitude of mental health issues that are so widespread in the world today. Today's world is a crazy and scary place, even more so for people shackled by mental health issues. I have seen the devastating effects of mental health issues in my own family and many of those that I love. If the funds that we raise can help save one precious life or even make one life better, then we are doing well, we are helping.
Together we can make a difference! Please be part of my team by donating to this worthy cause.

The Ride for Mental Health 2023
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
