CICS Touring Machines
UMASS CICS TOURING MACHINES
At UMass Amherst, the College of Information and Computer Sciences (CICS) envisions a world where computing enhances the well-being of our citizenry. As a community of faculty, staff, and students, we are committed to research, education, and service that create positive change in our world. [See: https://www.cics.umass.edu/vision-mission-values]
Touring Machines is a team of CICS faculty, staff and friends who will be riding together to support Will Bike 4 Food during the month of September 2021.
We consider it unacceptable that so many in our region – including students at UMass Amherst, and underserved residents of cities and towns in Western MA – are “food insecure”, and don’t know when or how they will get their next meal. The Food Bank provides food to their members in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties. These independent pantries, meal sites and shelters are on the front lines of emergency food assistance in our region, providing sustenance to individuals, families, seniors, children and people with disabilities (including veterans) to lead healthy and meaningful lives.
We are putting our wheels and wallets to the fight against food insecurity. Together, we roll.
Thank you for your support!

The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts
Since 1982, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has been feeding our neighbors in need and leading the community to end hunger. We distribute food to our member agencies in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties. These independent pantries, meal sites and shelters are on the front lines of emergency food assistance in our region, playing a crucial role helping individuals, families, seniors and children. Every $1 donated to The Food Bank can purchase 4 meals for a family who needs them most.
