The 2021 Tour de Barnstable event will be held virtually this year considering the Covid-19 pandemic. Although virtual, you can still have a ton of fun, ride bikes safely with friends, and support our work in the community.

Location:

The joy of a virtual ride is you can complete it anywhere you’d like or if you prefer, the official course route has been modified to 25 miles taking place south of Route 28. You can also choose to ride on your stationary bike at home, at the gym or ride your bike on your own 25-mile route.

Please do not gather in groups to complete this ride, and please follow all CDC instructions on how to keep yourself and others safe during this time.

When:

You have from now until the end of the day on Sunday, June 6th to finish the 25 miles. The best part of a virtual ride is that you control all the settings! Want to do the full 25 miles at one time? Have at it! Want to ride five miles a day for 6+ days? More power to you!

The Important WHY:

Calmer Choice needs your help to deliver our prevention programs that support the mental health and well-being of students, teachers and people of all ages in our community. The pandemic has forced us to cancel our relied upon fundraising events, which brings in vital funds to support our work teaching mindfulness. We need you to pedal for our people virtually this year to ensure we can pedal in person for Calmer Choice next year when it is safe again!

Calmer Choice is an innovative, one-of-a-kind non-profit organization that has operated in 28 schools and more than a dozen community-based organizations across Cape Cod.  Calmer Choice has become a thought leader in the area of secular mindfulness in education and is increasingly viewed as a catalyst for creating positive change in school climates. We have impacted more than 26,000 children in eight school districts, reaching approximately 20% of all students and families living on Cape Cod.
