ICP FUNdraiser Ride
Join us Saturday June 17th for our FUNdraiser ride starting and finishing at Cahaba Brewing! Two different route options will be offered, a ~30mi route, and a 60mi route.
Our chosen cause for this event is raising funds to ensure the continuation of our new Thursday night race series, the Temple of Zoom. By participating in this fundraiser, you'll be directly contributing to the efforts of keeping this race alive and helping provide easier access to competitive cycling and training opportunities in Alabama. Through this series we hope to bring attention to cycling's contribution to the city of Irondale and form relationships with stakeholders in the community.
Start Time (From Brewery): 8:00am
Start Time (if riding from Homewood Shop ride) - 7:30am
End Time - 11:00 - 1:00pm depending when you finish
Post Ride - ride ends at a brewery, so we encourage you to invite your family and freinds afterwards for some ice cold brewskis. They usually have food trucks there too.
Routes - links posted soon.
Other Important Deetz:
-Routes will NOT be marked, please know the route or save it on your phone before the ride
-Ride is mechanically self-supported. We will try to have mechanical SAG support, but we cannot gaurantee it so please bring your own flat kits etc
-There will be one rest stop, locations will be announced prior to ride start, but will probably be at the fire station near Vandiver for the long route only
Disclaimer - This ride is FREE with suggested donations from participants. We are trying to raise money to keep doing our races, please do not come to this ride expecting the accomodations of a huge charity bike ride event. This is supposed to be kind of an informal, fun ride designed to allow our community to support this event's continuation whether they race or not.
The Irondale Cycling Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising cycling awareness and bicycle infrastructure development in the Irondale community.
