Evan Austin (AKA Super Evan), one of my best friend’s awesome little brother, was only 8 years old when he passed away from a rare childhood cancer. During his battle and still to this day, his family was supported by the Rett’s Roost organization. My family is participating in a 5K event to help raise funds for Rett’s Roost so that families like the Austin’s can be supported by Rett’s Roost. Rett’s Roost was created by another family impacted by childhood cancer and helps provide hope and healing for families impacted by childhood cancer and child loss, offering retreats and gatherings that create connection, while honoring the process of grief and the power of love. Superhero 5K
The Superhero 5k benefits Rett's Roost and the true superheroes, the children and families who have experienced childhood cancer. Money raised from the 5k goes to providing meaningful retreats and community gatherings for the families to support each other. Come dressed as your favorite superhero for this special 5k that finished along the beach!
Prior to the 5k, there will be a Fun Run for children 2-8 years old on the beach!
