Thank you in advance for supporting me and the Tucson Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Catalina Council. As a partner charity for the Tour de Tucson, all the money that is donated on my behalf for the ride on November 18th is directly channeled to the Tucson local council. Donations raised for the Catalina Council helps make scouting available to both girls and boys from Cub Scouts all the way through to Scouts BSA, Venturing and Exploring.
I am a long time Scouter from Colorado, and volunteer my time on a National level (serving all Councils) at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in WV, and locally to the Greater Colorado Council. I have become an avid bicycle rider since 2017, competing in Ironman relay teams, participating in Ride the Rockies, and some other charity rides.
I am grateful for your support – pedal on!!!
BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA Catalina Council
El Tour de Tucson is a 501(c)3 non-profit that rides to support charities, community, health and wellness. Since 1983 more than 100 local, national, and international non-profit charities have raised over $101 million for their own organizations and causes.
The local Boy Scouts of America (BSA), Catalina council, is partnering with El Tour again this year as a fundraising event for the local council. This event enables Scouts of all levels to actively participate in a large local community outdoor activity in addition to raising money that will support Catalina Council Programs.
Additionally, for those Scouts working on merit badges, participation in this event can earn bike riding requirements towards the Cycling merit badge.
Our mission is to deliver fun and exciting experiences, through strong scouting units, which build better young people through outdoor adventures that develop character. The event enables scouts to earn credit to the cycling merit badge, actively participate in a large community event and raise funds for the Catalina council.
