The Central Cycling Classic is in it's 16th year and is a non-competitive cycling event created to raise awareness and support for the important mission of Centre Volunteers in Medicine.
This ride to me is a special one to me as it turned out to be the last ride I ever took with my late father who passed away of a heart attack during our ride in 2016. The care, kindness, and compassion that we experienced during the event and my family and I received after from the riders and CVIM is something I will never forget and for which I am eternally grateful.
This year, similar to last year, I'm excited to take on the 62 mile ride as one of the steps in the training ladder for the Pennsylvania 1/2 Ironman, also local here in Central Pennyslvania taking place on 6/29.
