Many of you have supported me in my past fundraising bike rides for cancer, and I'm very grateful and hope to do more large rides in the future... but this summer time is tight, so I'm going a little smaller and keeping it local.
I'm still riding in memory of my Dad, who we lost to colon cancer almost 30 years ago... that particular disease is much easier to diagnose then it was when he got sick, and the treatments are far more effective, and that's because of the many advances made by those who were willing to fund cancer research. I'd like to keep that progress going for the next family who faces a cancer diagnosis, in every small way that I can.
On June 15th, I will be pedaling my way through the Pioneer Valley to raise money for Bikes Fight Cancer. 100% of all rider raised funds will support valuable cancer care services to patients, families and caregivers as well as funding hospitals focused on advancing cancer research.

Bikes Fight Cancer Charity Ride, Powered by Valley Solar is an exciting FUNdraising bike ride in Western Mass, where every pedal contributes to funding organizations providing cancer care and services. Choose your ride with 25-mile and 50-mile routes traversing the picturesque Pioneer Valley and along the Connecticut River. The 50-mile ride promises an extra thrill with rewarding views for riders. After the ride, enjoy post-event activities like a kids trail ride, awesome food trucks, and, of course, enjoy Tree House's exceptional beer. This is an unmissable event!

Bikes Fight Cancer Inc. is a Western Massachusetts 501(c)(3) that uses its love of bikes to lessen the burden of a cancer diagnosis for patients, families, and caregivers. Through athletic events like the Bikes Fight Cancer Charity Ride and the Bikes Fight Cancer PMC Team, we aim to empower a community to participate, donate, and fundraise in the fight against cancer.
