Welcome to my fund raising page! I'm very excited to raise money for Adult and Teen Challenge Vermont! Vermont is an incredibly beautiful place to live but sadly, it has one of the the highest illicit drug usage rates in the nation. Adult and Teen Challenge is a successful drug and alcohol abuse recovery program which provides hope and support for those under addiction. It is totally funded by private donations and other fund raising events. Adult andTeen Challenge, VT receives no government tax funding.
I have personally met some of the men and women whose lives have been changed by this program. Many of them stay with ATC to help support others in the program.

Tour de Slate
The Tour de Slate is a fully supported fund raising bike ride. The Tour is made up of five different rides all designed to provide an enjoyable cycling experience no matter what your level of experience. The most challenging rides, cyclists a metric century(100km, 63.4 mi) rides and a 36 mile groad ride. Also a 36mi, a 25 mi and a family ride(off road on a trail) ensures that there is a ride suitable for everyone. The Tour de Slate is aptly named as it tours the world reknowned slate valley of western Vermont and bordering NY state. The beneficiary of the ride is Adult and Teen Challenge, VT. All net proceeds will be donated to that organization. Aduly/Teen Challenge, is, according to some surveys, the most successful drug and alcohol addiction recovery program in the nation. It is a 12 to 15 month residency program and no one is refused admitance because of lack of funds. It is totally funded by private donations and funding. Teen Challenge, VT receives no government tax funding!
The jersey and free ride incentives remain unchanged but there has been added a new prize that will awarded to the highest individual rider fundraiser. This contest will end on the day of the ride. The prize will be announced and presented at the ride.
The Tour de Slate's primary purpose is to raise funds in the effort to combat drug and alcohol addiction. All net proceeds will be donated to Adult /Teen Challenge, VT. Teen Challenge, VT runs a 15 month residential program providing drug and alcohol addiction recovery and rehabilitation. They also, through their End Addiction program, bring substance abuse prevention presentations to schools, youth groups or community events. Teen Challenge, VT has recently opened a women's facility where abused and addicted women can find refuge. Important to note; no one is turned away from Teen Challenge because of lack of funds.Adult/Teen Challenge, VT does not receive any tax raised money. Your donation is tax deductable.
