Dear Friends and Supporters,
Cycling has been a significant part of my life for the past seven years. It has provided me with fun, health benefits, therapy, and a way to channel my competitive nature. More importantly, it has become a powerful avenue for making a difference. Through cycling, I've had the privilege of raising thousands of dollars for various charities and showing my four children the impact we can have on others' lives, even those we may never meet directly.
The King Challenge came into my life in a serendipitous way. I reached out to one of my favorite social media influencers for a donation to the Pan Mass Challenge and, to my delight, received the support I needed along with an invitation to participate in the 2024 King Challenge—an event I had previously donated to. After consulting with my wife, Jana, I eagerly accepted the invitation.
As I connected the dots, I realized that this challenge has a deeply personal connection for me. My best friend Jaime's mother, Cindy, experienced a life-changing car accident just down the road from Pico Mountain in Mendon, VT, over 20 years ago. Cindy was one of the most vibrant and loving people I've ever known; she was like a second mother to me. Unfortunately, she had to live with the aftermath of a traumatic brain injury from that accident.
I'm honored to ride in the King Challenge to raise funds that will improve the lives of individuals affected by such tragic events. I ride for Cindy, Jaime, and everyone impacted by life-altering accidents.
