On October 23 I joined my friend Glenn to run the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim route in Arizona to support research to cure Alzheimer's Disease.  We covered 44 miles and more than 11,000' of elevation gain/loss in 16 hours--a very challenging route! Starting the descent just before the sun rose was perfect, and we met a lot of lovely people on the trails. We saw the comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas in the starriest skies, got swooped many times by bats, saw foxes hunting mice, a very cool king snake, a scorpion, deer, and all of those layers of geologic history up close. I’m truly inspired by Glenn's dedication, athleticism, and amazing energy—it was a joy and privilege to join him.

My run was part of AlzRun, a team of people from all over the country running challenging and magnificent trails to raise money for Cure Alzheimer's Fund.

The funds we raise will go directly to Cure Alzheimer's Fund. I am impressed by how much they have contributed to our understanding of Alzheimer’s.  They direct 100% of donations toward high-impact research. Our contributions will make a difference!

I want to be part of breakthroughs that will cure Alzheimer’s.  Please join me.

Thank you for your support!
