Before my sister and I were born my mom was in a serious car accident and had a traumatic brain injury that left her in a coma for weeks. I never knew her before the accident but have heard her stories about how hard it was to relearn everything and how challenging, stressful and scary that time was for her family.
For the first time since I started shooting loads of bike events three years ago, my mama and I are going to ride in one together next month.
The @kingchallengeride is in it’s 14th year and each October raises money for the David Krempels Brain Injury Center (KBIC). I’ve been hearing @iamtedking and @lauracameronking share about this event for years and the stars are finally aligning to be able to go.
Because this ride is NOT a race, and has three different distances (10,30 and 60 miles) that you can choose on the day of depending on how you are feeling (and benefits the KBIC) I thought it was the perfect event for me to do with my mama.
SO! Because the more the merrier - If you’re in New England, come ride with us on October 12th in Exeter, NH! You can register via the link in my bio and join our team the “Pedal Power Posse”
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support - and please forward this to anyone you think might want to donate and support KBIC! It's easy to share on social media too!

King Challenge 2024
The King Challenge is a fundraising event benefiting the David Krempels Brain Injury Center, a Portsmouth, NH based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people living with brain injury.
The David Krempels Brain Injury Center's misson is to improve the quality of life of people living with brain injury through evidence-based programming, shared experiences, and support in a welcoming community.
KBIC was founded in 1995 by David Krempels, who, after surviving a traumatic car accident resulting in a brain injury, invested his time and money to support other brain injury survivors and their families.
