I'm actually running this half marathon becuase my friend group is A) competative and B) has no sense of when a funny bit becomes an actual life milestone. 

Anyway, we're gonna run the race in either hot dog costumes or Chippendale's outfits. The working team name is "Glizzy Guzzlers," becuase after running a half marathon we're gonna watch a baseball game from 1999 to complete the 9-9-9 challenge (nine dogs and nine beers in nine innings).

All fundraising proceeds of the race will benefit local law enforcement and first responders.  All contributions are tax deductible. 

The Xfinity Boston's Run To Remember is a Half Marathon or 5 Mile race (live or virtual) that pays tribute to fallen 1st Responders annually on Memorial Day weekend. We honor all 1st Responders by celebrating their service and giving back to the community. 
Net proceeds of Boston's Run To Remember benefit local youth and community programs supported by our 1st Responders.  The race also raises funds for several local charities, including the Alzheimer's Association, Cops for Kids With Cancer, Muscular Dystrophy, the Boy's and Girl's Club and Sole Train.
