I have been living with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma since 2018. I consider myself a triple survivor, having had three occurences and three separate rounds of treatment since my diagnosis. I've been through chemotherapy (2019), immunotherapy, an autologous stem cell transplant (2021), and CAR-T therapy (2023). I am not cured but I am very much alive and well!
On June 14th, I will be pedaling my way through the pioneer valley to raise money for Bikes Fight Cancer. 100% of every dollar you so generously donate to this cause goes directly to the Cancer Connection.
Cancer Connection’s mission is to provide a haven where people with cancer and their loved ones can learn how to navigate the complicated cancer journey through one-to-one guidance, education, peer support, integrative therapies, and creative programs to strengthen body and spirit.
All of the services and programs at Cancer Connection are offered free of charge.
I have felt so incredibly supported by the community that is the Cancer Connection. They have helped me find my purpose and re-enter the world of the living as I've transitioned to survivorship. I love the Cancer Connection. And I love raising money for the Cancer Connection---it feels so good! Join me!
I will be riding in memory of my many brave friends and family members who lived with cancer and are no longer here with us:
My father Richard Mott (My dad didn't have cancer but was my strongest champion and cheerleader while he was still living)
Paula Mott
Kathey Ferland
Tracy Kennard
Andrea Bird
Sandra Auld
Dennis Nolan
I will also be riding in honor of my many brave friends and loved ones who are living with or have lived with cancer and are here among us doing their most and best every day to stay alive:
Beverly Kennedy
Peg Berens
Jessica Shiner
My fellow Spirit of the Written Word writers
My fellow Cancer Connection All Cancer Support Group members
