Dear friends,

As you may know, I'm a recent convert to the joys of running. On December 8th, I'll be running for more than just a personal physical challenge, but for the livelihood of many others. The Hot Chocolate Run is a 5K run in support of Safe Passage, a community organization that supports women and children who have survived and are rebuilding from domestic violence.

Please consider helping me to help these families by making a donation. You don't have to run - I'll happily do that! But my 3.1 miles will go that much further with your help.

Since this is the 10th Annual Hot Chocolate Run, a mere $10 from just 25 people would help me reach my fundraising goal, and even better, would make a huge difference in the lives of these survivors.

Here are some ways Safe Passage will put your gift to work:

$25: Resources, support and hope for a

woman calling the 24-hour hotline

$75: Safe transportation for a family

traveling to Safe Passage’s emergency shelter

$80: A drop-in support group session for

survivors of domestic violence

$140: Education for parents on talking

with their kids about domestic violence

$500: Healing counseling for a child who

has witnessed violence
