South Coast Bikeway
Team South Coast Bikeway supports the Friends of the Mattapoisett Rail Trail and the Mattapoisett Land Trust. We ride to help complete the Mattapoisett Rail Trail and to help acquire open spaces, create trails and maintain beautiful natural areas for all to enjoy.
The South Coast Bikeway will be a 50-mile continuous system of bike paths, multi-use paths and bike lanes connecting existing routes in Rhode Island to Cape Cod.
The cities and towns along the bikeway are Swansea, Somerset, Fall River, Westport, Dartmouth, New Bedford, Fairhaven, Mattapoisett, Marion and Wareham. Several segments of the bikeway already exist in Swansea, Fall River, New Bedford, Fairhaven, Mattapoisett and Wareham.
2024 Mattapoisett Tour de Crème
The Mattapoisett Tour de Crème is not one, but three bicycle tours of the ice cream stands and creameries near the Buzzards Bay town of Mattapoisett, MA. Sponsored by the Friends of the Mattapoisett Rail Trail with the Mattapoisett Land Trust, proceeds support efforts to build a bike path to Marion and to improve trails on the Land Trust's preserves.
As a thank-you for your efforts, we offer the following fundraising perks:
- for $150, we'll set you up with a delicious lobster roll from the Oxford Creamery's Oxcart.
- for $250+, have a beer and a massage in an exclusive party tent
Thank you for helping us improve outdoor recreational opportunities in Mattapoisett.
