The Family Resource Center of Northern NH
Strengthening Families, Building Communities
The Family Resource Center began in 1997 in a restored schoolhouse in Gorham, New Hampshire. Co-located with The Gorham Community Learning Center and SAU 20, our non-profit board of directors prepared a strategic plan to strengthen families in the local community by providing parenting education, afterschool programs and connecting people to other services they need. Now with five resource centers, FRC has become the community “go-to-place” for families in the North Country.
The Family Resource Center's mission is to build healthier families and stronger communities through positive relations, programs and collaborations in the North Country of New Hampshire.
The FRC’s programs serve all families with evidence-based home visiting, parent education, youth enrichment, financial literacy, reunification and recovery throughout Coos and Northern Grafton Counties. Programs focus on strengthening the health and vitality of families in New Hampshire’s North Country to overcome obstacles which interfere with healthy family functioning, educational achievement and financial stability.
