This event is a true celebration for everyone in the mental health community. It provides critical support for those people suffering from mental illness that have had to traverse (or will traverse) many mountains on their journey toward healing. McLean Hospital can provide that opportunity with your support! It provides funding for many critical measures that highlight the healing journey for many people suffering from something you and I can't see. Your support, whether financial, spiritual, or through volunteering can make a monumental difference. I owe a personal debt of gratitude to Mac Dorris and Angela Degrassi (and their team) for all they have done to put this together. It is the premier ride in New York... Please consider participating so you can feel the love and compassion from everyone that attends. 

The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse.  Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.

We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start.  Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
