Wolx on Wheels
If you've come here you are at least curious in this cause, the ride, or maybe why we're participating. We've wrestled with being mentally healthy in our own family journey. We have family members who have had or still struggle with their mental health. Kate is also a health care provider and has many patients (community members) she comes alongside of in order to provide tools for improving their mental health.
The ride is for us---physical activity is a sign we're doing well in our health, and a way to continue to invest in keeping ourselves healthy. When we're doing well, then we can be available for friends, family, and our community. This ride is also for them :)
Thank you for considering supporting a cause that is personal to us, our families, our friends, and Kate's patients. Please consider joining us in supporting this community so that all kinds of people, whether we know them or don't, can get healing and help towards the mental health that we all need.
The Ride for Mental Health 2025
The Ride for Mental Health is one of the first rides in the country to benefit mental health. The proceeds raised will be donated to McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, for the education, research, and treatment of mental illness including anxiety, borderline personality disorder, depression, eating disorders and substance abuse. Our mission is to raise funds for McLean so that we can help accelerate the progress being made to help others who suffer from mental illness.
We also hope to end the stigma surrounding mental illness through education and awareness. The promotion of this ride is a start. Many if not most of us are touched by close friends and relatives who have suffered from one type or another of mental illness.
