Quinebaug Valley - CT State Community College
2024 has been tough for families, with increasing rent and heating prices. WAIM is Willimantic-based a non-profit agency serving individuals and families across Windham County with basic needs. The Walk for Warmth is WAIM’s annual fundraising walk to raise money for energy costs and rental assistance. Learn more about Walk for Warmth here: https://waimct.org/events/walk-for-warmth/).
The Quinebaug Valley campus of CT State Community College is fundraising to support the Walk for Warmth will and will walking. Donate to the QV team and on Sunday 11/24, join us for the 1 or 2 mile walk starting at First Congregational Church (199 Valley Street) in Willimantic (wear QV swag!). Register to walk.

WAIM Walk for Warmth
Windham Area Interfaith Ministry's annual Walk for Warmth brings our community together to raise funds for our neighbors who are struggling financially and cannot afford to pay for heat, electricity, basic needs or who have fallen behind in their rent.
85% of these funds are raised through this event. This past year, WAIM helped over 1,300 individuals and families. We would not be able to help our neighbors in need if it weren't for the support of people like you!
Community members will gather together on November 24th at The First Congregational Church in Willimantic. Following the Interfaith Thanksgiving service, everyone will walk an easy two-mile route, then return to the church for snacks and celebration!. Those who are still uncomfortable in a crowd and would rather walk alone, or with family or friends at a different time can still raise funds for the Walk for Warmth by registering for a "virtual walk."
However you choose to support this event, 100% of funds raised will go directly to help our neighbors when they are most in need.
