It's time for another Hot Chocolate Run and most importantly to raise money to help Safe Passage address domestic violence in our community. Last year's Hot Chocolate Run was a big event for me. It was my first 5K run and I raised $600, which was more than my set goal of $500. This year if I raise $600 I will wear a costume during the race. That's right. I will run the streets of Northampton while wearing a costume. But first I need to raise $600 for Safe Passage and I need your help to do it! And then, only then, I will make a public spectacle of myself for Safe Passage.
Here are some ways Safe Passage will put your donation to work:
$30: Resources, support and hope for a woman calling the 24-hour hotline
$55: A survivor's first counseling session. For many of our clients, this is the first time they've felt heard. It's the first time in years that they've felt hopeful.
$120: A drop-in support group session for survivors of domestic violence
$225: Information, advice and support for a survivor facing a divorce or custody dispute
$500: Healing counseling for a child who has witnessed violence
All contributions are tax-deductible, and you’ll receive an emailed receipt immediately after you donate.
You can make a difference for families affected by domestic violence. I hope you’ll join me!
Thank you so much for your support!
