Welcome!

My name is Kassandra Chesky Fernandes and I would like to thank you for visiting my 2014 Hot Chocolate Run fundraising page! On Sunday December 7th, I will be volunteering at the 11th Annual Hot Chocolate Run. This great event raises funds for Safe Passage, the organization addressing domestic violence in Hampshire County. SafePassage helps so many people stay strong and speak up about Domestic Violence. Domestic Violence is very real, and their organization has touched me in a very personal way. Last year was my first year participating as a runner in the event, and I have made a personal goal to be a part of the event every year from here on out. This year I am volunteering, and I would like you to help me help SafePassage in their continuing growth.

Every day, Safe Passage helps survivors of domestic violence take steps towards a brighter and safer future. Some of these steps are easier, and some are harder. Every step is important.

Before I volunteer, I’ve decided to Step Up for Safe Passage, and I’m asking you to join me. Please make a donation to support Safe Passage’s important work. Safe Passage relies on people like you and me to bring hope, safety, and justice to women and families.

Here are some ways Safe Passage will put your gift to work:

$30: Resources, support and hope for a woman calling the 24-hour hotline
$55: A survivor's first counseling session. For many of Safe Passage's clients, this is the first time they've felt heard. It's the first time in years that they've felt hopeful.
$120: A drop-in support group session for survivors of domestic violence
$225: Information, advice and support for a survivor facing a divorce or custody dispute
$500: Healing counseling for a child who has witnessed violence
