I'll be riding the 2017 Tour of the Battenkill Prestacycle Tour for Pink in support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Breast cancer has impacted my family and despite the advances in detection and treatment, there is so much more that needs to be done.
While I have ridden and raced for a while, Battenkill has always been particularly challenging (that picture is from the 2016 edition). For this year the distance has been increased and I am coming back from hip replacement. With four months to go, I have only ridden over 50 miles twice since surgery and nowhere near the speed that will be needed. Please consider supporting a good cause and inspiring my comeback by making a donation.

2017 Participants can raise donations in support of their ride at the 2017 Tour of the Battenkill
In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen®organization and the beginning of a global movement. What was started with $200 and a shoebox full of potential donor names has now grown into the world’s largest nonprofit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer. To date, we’ve invested more than $2.6 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 60 countries. Our efforts helped reduce death rates from breast cancer by 37 percent between 1990-2013 and we won’t stop until our promise is fulfilled.
HOW WE'RE HELPING
Susan G. Komen is the ONLY organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against this disease.
