Welcome Pink Riders!  

This year Prestacycle is partnering with Tour of the Battenkill to fundraise for Susan G Komen NENY http://www.komenneny.org  with it's first ever Bike Team. Please join us for a fun and healthy specially designated  26 mile ride across the beautful roads of the Battenkill Area in upstate NY Washington County . It  will start at the Washington County  Fairgrounds on May 20th 2017 @ Tour of the Battenkill. http://www.tourofthebattenkill.com/granfondo/

For racers, non-racers, and cycling enthusiasts.  The Prestacycle Tour for Pink  is a non-competitive, mass-start event that will join the Grand Fondo event start. 

As an advocate and survivor I was lucky and have NED (no evidence of disease) status as of 2017. As a runner  and bike enthusuaist Komen gave me a tool to give back to all women in my area and beyond that are effected after me.

I ran my first running Komen Race for the Cure NENY in 2009 three weeks after finishing treatment of 5 months including surgery , chemotherapy and adjuvent hormal therapy and donated passionately with a team. Every year since I have run this race and now I am creating a bike event through my love of riding  to give back even more.

All donations will go to the Susan G Komen NENY  that gives back to people in our local communities and upstate counties as well as national research.

A minimum of 25 percent of the net income from each domestic Affiliate supports the national Komen Grant Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific conferences around the world.

Up to 75 percent of the net income from each domestic Affiliates stays in the local community to fund breast health education, breast cancer screening and treatment projects.

?You don't have to be an expert rider for this event. Ride at your own pace and enjoy the scenery. Join in our team or create one in honor or support of a loved one. Or ride as a single rider and give back while enjoying a healthy day of cycling with a purpose!

In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen®organization and the beginning of a global movement. What was started with $200 and a shoebox full of potential donor names has now grown into the world’s largest nonprofit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer. To date, we’ve invested more than $2.6 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 60 countries. Our efforts helped reduce death rates from breast cancer by 37 percent between 1990-2013 and we won’t stop until our promise is fulfilled.
