Come one, come all who want to help out an amazing cause. I am fundraising in order to build a new Cancer Center for the Elliot Hospital at where I work. A little more information about the run/fundraising is listed below.
On August 10th I’ll be participating in the Cigna/Elliot Corporate 5K Road Race in downtown Manchester to help fund and build a new, $40M+ Elliot Regional Cancer Center here in southern New Hampshire to better serve our families, friends and neighbors, via the Mary & John Elliot Charitable Foundation. The new center will bring all day surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and other treatments under a single roof for patient and family convenience, and will be the ONLY center like it here in southern New Hampshire!
Elliot Health System is the largest provider of comprehensive healthcare services in Southern New Hampshire, serving over 120,000 patients annually across 50 sites. The cornerstone of the system is Elliot Hospital, 296-bed acute care facility located in Manchester. Established in 1890, Elliot Hospital offers Southern New Hampshire communities caring, compassionate and professional patient service regardless of race, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, marital status, sexual preference, or ability to pay.
I hope you can make a donation, at any level that works for you, to help me reach my fund raising goal. Your donation supports the Elliot Regional Cancer Center, and is totally tax deductible. Thank you for your support, and for helping to improve the cancer services available here in southern New Hampshire!
Cigna / Elliot Corporate 5k Road Race
In its 25th year, the Cigna/Elliot 5k is the largest road race in New Hampshire, and one of the largest 5K road races in all of New England! In 2017, we are raising much-needed funds for the construction of a new, $40M+ Elliot Regional Cancer Center in the Manchester region. We’ll need to raise at least $7M from the community to bring this facility to fruition. The new cancer center will bring day surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and other treatments under a single roof for patient and family convenience (currently in multiple towns), and will be the only cancer center like it in southern NH. Interested in getting in on the $1,500 in fundraiser and fundraising team prizes available? See below for the details. Thank you for your consideration and support!

About The Cause
The dollars you, your family and your friends contribute will support cancer care improvements at Elliot Health System, and will specifically help to design and construct a new, $40M+ cancer center to better serve all of us here in southern New Hampshire. The new regional cancer center will house day surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, oncology specialists and other treatments and support services under a single roof. There will be NO other cancer care facilities like it in all of southern New Hampshire!
All contributions will be managed by the Mary & John Elliot Charitable Foundation, a charitable, tax-exempt 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to providing financial support to the various needs of the local community and of the Elliot Health System (also a non-profit charitable organization). 100% of the net proceeds received by the Foundation will be directed to the Elliot Regional Cancer Center.
In its 25th year, this event is the largest road race in New Hampshire, and one of the largest 5K road races in all of New England!
Funds raised through the Delta Dental/Elliot Corporate Road Race will support patient programs at the Solinsky Center for Cancer Care at The Elliot. 100% of your donations will provide funding for programs and services at the Solinsky Center for Cancer Care including nutrition assistance and programs, rehabilitation therapy, integrative medicine, and support programs for patients as they manage their journey with cancer. Specialized programs include:
Yoga and meditation
Art Therapy
Journaling classes
Game Nights for cancer survivors
Acupuncture and Reiki
Cooking Classes for specialized and healthy food options during treatment
The Solinsky Center at Elliot Hospital offers radiation oncology, medical oncology with state-of-the-art technology, caring and skilled health care providers, in one convenient location. Along with the expansion of clinical services, our Patient and Family Nurse Navigator Program provides additional support to patients and their caregivers.
