I'm back at it, raising money for the Krempels Center, and not letting my intern year of residency at Maine Medical Center keep me from riding at the King Challenge!
The King Challenge, raises money in support of the Krempels Center, a nonprofit organization named for the generous founder, David Krempels, who had a vision of helping other people who had suffered a brain injury as he had. The Krempels Center is central in my father's life, after surviving a debilitating stroke 16 years ago, and is very important to the hundreds of other KC members. The Krempels Center provides post-rehabilitation day programs, creates a welcoming social network, and provides purpose, training, and friendships to peoples lives, and serves as important training for occupational therapy students at University of NH. This place is amazing, and I don't know where my dad or family would be without it.
Many thanks from me, my family, and members of the Krempels Center!
P.S. The attached photo is my whole family gathered together cheers-ing to my medical school graduation, in May of this year.
