My sweet, beautiful cousin Elizabeth Dalton bravely and optimistically lived with epilepsy from the age of 12 to the age of 26. We lost her in June of this year to SUDEP, and the pain and magnitude of this loss is hard to describe and sometimes hard to wrap my head around. Though I lived in Richmond for several years I was never able to participate in the Tour de Midnight, an event Elizabeth loved and put a lot of energy and effort into. I'm so grateful for the chance to participate virtually in solidarity with my loved ones this year to honor Elizabeth.
