My daughter Elizabeth battled Epilepsy since she was 12 years old. She fought a valiant fight but lost her battle June 18, 2020 at the age of 26. She was a sweet soul and brought immeasurable joy to our lives. We will miss her dearly but we hope to carry on her legacy through raising awareness for Epilepsy and supporting the great work done by the Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia. She often said the day of the Tour de Midnight was the best day of the year as she was surrounded by people like her who understood her and her battle.
The Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia provides support for the 86,000 Virginians living with Epilepsy. One in ten people will have a seizure in their lifetime and one in twenty-six will be diagnosed with Epilepsy. The EFVA is working to create awareness for this disease.
We have experienced first hand the great work done by the EFVA. Please join us October 17, 2020 for this great event.
