Hello friends and family and everyone i don't know!
I am so excited to be riding in the Food Justice Bike Ride this season! The Ride started last season as a way to support an amazing pay-what-you-can cafe in Greenfield, called the Stone Soup Cafe! And this season, they are branching out to support another food access organization---my farm, Just Roots! (https://justroots.org/). The ride starts and ends at the farm. There will be bike maintenance support, an awesome post-ride meal, by Stone Soup Cafe and even a book reading by the incredible team of Ricky and Deb from Seeds of Solidarity as they read from their new book, Making Love While Farming (https://www.facebook.com/MakingLoveWhileFarming/).
So....it's gonna be a wonderful day! I hope you will consider joining my team, or contibuting a small amount to me as I ride my heart out for this little farm that I believe in and am helping to build!
Now...I better tune up that bike!
peas + love,
meryl

Food Justice Bike Ride is a newly formed 501 (c) (3) non-profit company created with the mission to create and operate local bike rides for the purpose of fighting hunger in our community. We plan to do this by raising funds through rider entry fees and participant fundraising to directly benefit those in the community who are in need of nutritious food. This year's ride will benefit below poverty level income families acquire nutritious food from a local non-profit 501c3 cooperative, Just Roots Greenfield Community Farm as part of their CSA Farm Shares program.
