Dear family and friends,
This autumn it is going to be a privilege for me to bike ride with the Women’s Outdoors Western Mass Team in support of the Western Mass Food Bank during their annual fundraising event Will Bike 4 Food at the end of September.
For those of you who know my parents and my family you know that the cooking, sharing and eating of a meal is much more than a daily necessity instead it’s very much a daily act of love, kindness and caring.
In memory of my father and in recognition of my mother, Gus and Elsie, I am dedicating this bike ride to them because in Portugal they both experienced hunger on a daily basis-especially my mother. So, when they came to this country they worked very hard to ensure that their family always had food security and this extended out to family friends as well-no one ever left our house hungry.
At this time I ask for your support and help with my fund raising initiative by please making a donation to my page (if you can) and also please share my page/link with everyone that you know because I believe that it really does take a community effort to be successful-it really does take the entire village.
Please know that your contribution no matter what size will definitely make an immediate and positive difference in the lives of local individuals by providing them with an essential necessity of daily life and good health being food security-no child or adult in this state or country should ever go hungry or worry about when they will be able to have their next meal.
For this event the team goal is to raise $1,400 dollars and my goal is to hopefully raise an additional $1,000 in my parent’s honor.
Please know that I truly appreciate both your generosity and your time in helping my team and I achieve these goals-it really means a lot to me.
With much gratitude, love, respect, friendship and kindness along with a huge hug and dimpled smile,
~Terry C.
PS: Please know that every $1 raised will provide 3 meals to a person in need and your donation is tax deductible! Thank you!

Since 1982, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has been feeding our neighbors in need and leading the community to end hunger. We distribute food to our member agencies in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties. These independent pantries, meal sites and shelters are on the front lines of emergency food assistance in our region, playing a crucial role helping individuals, families, seniors and children. Every $1 donated to The Food Bank can purchase 4 meals for a family who needs them most.
