Hey guys -- times are hard for everyone right now, but even harder if you're having trouble putting food on the table. Please support the Food Bank if you can! Every $1 can provide 4 meals, 100% goes to The Food Bank's mission, all donations are tax deductible.
To complete my 50-mile pledge, I parked in Falmouth and rode my bike to Woods Hole to catch the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. A guy on the ferry told me that the Monarch butterflies are amassing in Aquinnah (Gay Head) before heading off to Mexico. I love heading off to Mexico, so I headed off to Aquinnah to see the masses of Monarchs. After a chilly ride I saw one butterfly, but the cliffs were gorgeous!
I camped at the little campground in Tisbury on hard-packed sand. My bike was so heavy with camping gear that I threw my front wheel out of true. My bike was vibing left, right, left, right, etc. I looked like I was listening to reggae music as I rode. On the ferry back, another guy saw my touring setup and gave me a long list of better touring bikes that I can't afford, ha ha. I'll just fix my wheel and take less stuff next time.
Thanks again for anything you can contribute!

Since 1982, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts has been feeding our neighbors in need and leading the community to end hunger. We distribute food to our member agencies in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties. These independent pantries, meal sites and shelters are on the front lines of emergency food assistance in our region, playing a crucial role helping individuals, families, seniors and children. Every $1 donated to The Food Bank can purchase 4 meals for a family who needs them most.
