Hello friends and family! This is the fourth time Pam and I are raising money for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports and the fifth year that one of us has toed the starting line at the Vermont 100. This organization and this event has a way of pulling us back year after year (once Pam has her own fundraising page I will link it here).
Every day the VASS athletes have to overcome thier fears to participate in mountain biking, skiing, and trail running. VASS provides the athletes a safe environment and the necessary support so that the VASS athletes can take the chance of trying a new sport and getting to participate in something amazing. Every summer we've partcipated in the VT 100 a VASS athlete has shared his or her story about how participating in VASS has provided positive opportunities a and opened doors. in 2019 we heard from a VASS runner who participated in the Western States ultra marathon and another who'd developed new crutches to more effectively move while trail running.
Pam and I thoroughly enjoy being able to ski, mountain bike, and trail run. It is great to know that VASS helps provide access to those same activities to everyone. We'd like to thank all of our supporters who are taking a chance on us and helping VASS provide opportunities to its athletes.
